Koristićemo veoma jednostavnu topologiju sastavljenu od samo tri rutera. Konfigurisaćemo OSPFv3 na serijskim linkovima i na loopback interfejsima. Evo kako izgleda naša topologija:

Prva stvar koju ćemo uraditi na svakom ruteru je da osposobimo IPv6 rutiranje. Zatim ćemo interfejsima dodijelit IPv4 adresu i konačno IPv6 adresu.
Provjerimo stanje linka na R2:
